La 93 edición de los Oscar fue poco habitual en la historia de estos premios, la estación Union Station de Los Ángeles, donde la Academia de Hollywood habilitó un espacio para los 170 invitados que acudieron presencialmente.
Chloé Zhao se llevó esta noche el Óscar a la mejor dirección por “Nomadland” en la 93 edición de los premios de la Academia de Hollywood, un premio con el que hace historia al convertirse en la segunda directora que triunfa en esta categoría.
“Siempre he encontrado bondad en toda la gente que he conocido, este premio va para todos los que sacan la bondad de las personas que conocen, eso me inspira a seguir”, afirmó la cineasta sobre el escenario.
“The Father” consiguió dos premios: mejor actor para Anthony Hopkins y mejor guion adaptado para Florian Zeller. Por su parte, ”Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” también hizo doblete con los premios de mejor vestuario y mejor maquillaje, esta última una categoría en la que fue reconocido el español Sergio López-Rivera.
Otro par de galardones se embolsó “Sound of Metal” con mejor montaje y mejor sonido, un apartado donde fueron galardonados los mexicanos Jaime Baksht, Michelle Couttolenc y Carlos Cortés.
Otras películas con doble estatuilla fueron “Mank” (mejor fotografía y mejor diseño de producción), “Soul” (mejor película de animación y mejor banda sonora) y “Judas and the Black Messiah” (mejor canción por “Fight for You” y mejor actor de reparto para Daniel Kaluuya).
